A recurrent motif in my work are dry stone walls which ramble all over the Dales, creating new shapes in the landscape and I love exploring new ways of representing them. The long, thin format of this painting is ideal for enabling the eye to follow the wall and then round the lines and shapes of the soft blue and pink landscape.
